Lambert is especially happy about where fans will be able to see the "Time for Miracles" video: the big screen. "The '2012' trailer that we put together with the ['Time for Miracles' music video] will be premiering at the Michael Jackson film," Lambert revealed to MTV News, referring to a special trailer that will run before the upcoming documentary "Michael Jackson's This Is It."

I changed my mind about my Halloween costume. I was going to be Sally Bowles from Cabaret but the outfit isn't coming together very quickly. I found the perfect shoes a week and a half ago. Brandy called them "dykey gay boy shoes" which must be why I LOVE THEM. Anyhow! These shoes will still work well for my new Halloween costume. What's that? I didn't mention what it is yet? Hm. I'm almsot as bad as those 2012 people only letting us hear snippets of Adam's new track "Time For Miracles". Want a hint? I won't really have to dress up all that much... Maybe a little less makeup and a drawn on wrist tattoo. If I could get ahold of a leather jacket it would help but I can make do with the clothes I have.

No ideas still?

Kuponohi'ipoi Aweau “Pono” is the name of the Hawaiian dancer who I want to win this season of SYTYCD? I still haven't been able to find a clip of him but if you want to watch a large clip of one of the audition episodes, he should show up eventually:

I still can't find any clips of the guy I really like this year. He has a complicated Hawaiian name so it may be until next week before I'm able to track him down... After he wins this year it'll be Nathan Trasoras' time to shine:

SYTYCD? continues to entertain me.

Audition episodes aired on Wednesday and Thursday.


Standouts from Wednesday include Priscilla Merraro and a salsa couple whose names escape me. I am quite endeared to Joseph Smith. He's the one who kept saying "Shiwam!" and "Shiwizam!" I hope to see more from him in the future. The was some really raunchy girl with first name of Wislande. Other names I remember positively were Erik "Silky" Moore who danced a damn silky routine to Michael Jackson's "Thriller". Paris Torres, (sp?) a guy named Henry whose last name I forget, Alex Wong and Geo Smith who was wearing a spectacular feather headdress. I also liked Talia Rickards, a police officer named Marico, Caitlin Kinney, and Anna Dunn. I didn't like (but was entertained by) the insane red dreadlocked Chris Carozza.

Travis Prokop and Evan Kazprak were the standout performers on Wednesday though. Travis has the tall strong build of someone's whose father coaches football and the spirit of someone whose father supports his dancing regardless. He is someone who strikes me as having an infinite capability for improvement. I was so touched by the interview portions dealing with him and his father and cannot wait to see him make top 20. Evan Kazprak was someone I remember from last season. His dancing is evocative of Gene Kelley which can only be taken as a compliment in my book. (Sidenote: I LOOOOVE GENE KELLEY) I actually remember mentioning him last year. (Check the "SYTYCD?" tag on this entry if you are at all interested in my past ramblings on So You Think You Can Dance? and clips I found notable enough to post) His brother auditioned this year as well and though he was entertaining and talented he paled in comparison to Evan. I want him in the Top 20.

Thursday brought the return of PHILLIP CHBEEB! but I will get on that later. I liked Bianca Revels a good deal. She was called a "consummate tapdancer" by Nigel and deservedly so. There was a freakishly and akwardly insestuous couple. I forget their names but the brother was named Xavier. I loved Asuka Kondoh and Ricky Sun! I want to see more from them for sure. Another person I NEED to see more from is Nathan Trasoras. After a breathtaking audition we find out he is only 17 (eep! deleting inappriopriate thoughts now...) and therefore unable to compete in the series until next year. Nigel actually took a Vegas ticket and wrote it out for him next season. Before his age was revealed I was thinking overtly sexual thoughts about him had him pegged to win this season. I now am calling him out as top ten next year at the least. I love him.

After my mind was blown by Nathan I was impressed with Sammy Ramirez and Amanda Kerby. Next was the fantabulous Phillip ChBeeb! You most likely don't remember but he (along with my alien love Robert Muraine) had me raving last year. What an amazing popper. It looks like this year of training is going to pay off for him. He was given a ticket to Vegas without even auditioning since the only reason he left last year was his taking ill. He assisted a contemporary dancing friend later on and I was blown away by the strides in partnering he's made. I cannot wait to see how far he goes this year. Other names that are bound to move along in the series are Aldo Ageppe, Kelsea Taylor and a phenomenal hawaiian dancer with a very difficult first name and the last name of Awea. I will be rooting for him throught the entire season. As soon as I find out more about him you are bound to be bogged down by entries about him. I can't express what a breath of fresh air he was to this competition. The only negative comment I heard was something about how he would be doing something so very powerful and strong and then would go a little "too feminine". As you might guess those are the bits I liked best.

P.S. On the subject of "feminine" dancing; I never did a full entry on it but I was really taken aback last week by the comments to the same sex ballroom dancing. I was amazed at the general xenophobia coming from the panel. Even Sonja! It wasn't exactly homophobia but a stringent concept of gender roles. This is the photo that piqued my interest somewhere around two years ago when it was posted in symphonic_dame's LJ. Unfortunately, neither of uns knew who the lads were. Until yesterday when I stumbled upon thier last.fm page when I saw someone's userpic* with them in it. Then I got ahold of "The Rejection" and have been pretty much cracking out to it and KrAdam's "I Will Remember You" (Wedding serenade anyone?") and now I found a video for said song:

Warning: I am a huge nerd for SYTYCD? This is the first in what is bound to be a barrage of posts on this subject each week.

First episode of the season was tonight! After the usual set of mediocre attempts there was a guy named Chimeze who was very charismatic. Then I was really rooting for this Japanese guy's audition to go well. They set it up in the introduction like it could possibly go the Willam Hung route. Luckily he was damn entertaining! I won't try to attempt spelling his name but I will find the clip when possible.

Right before a commercial break there was a shot of a guy crying while the voiceover speculated of a dancer's dreams being crushed and I thought to myself, "Oh no, I already like this guy without seeing him dance!" they showed him crying after the judges ask him "What does the umbrella represent to you?" ( Hmm... )

The last performance ended up being SPECTACULAR. Brandon Bryant (if I caught the name correctly) returned from an early elimination last year to a guy who's name slips my mind but I remember being pretty damn good and that he deeply seemed to crush on his partner who had a boyfriend in real life. Anyhow! BRANDON BRYANT was fucking solid. You can tell that year of training was good for him! I will be looking for that video.


On the subject of Adam Lambert... I have calmed down enough to post about it. It's just the results I predicted from first episode that I watched this season (Country Week -Ring Of Fire) I thought that Kris would place first and Adam would place second. I also had fallen head over heel for him in that single silver jacketed performance. As those of you around when that occured might remember, I had only made an effort to watch American Idol when I stumbled upon some glamtastic photos (http://velvetgunpowder.livejournal.com/187879.html) of Adam Lambert. My brother said that he got "a little too Patrick WOlf on 'em" and I said I anjoyed every minute of it! He was like "I bet you did!" I might need to mention that 'Patrick Wolf' is my brother's slang for gay. *Sigh* Such things need articulating when around me enough I guess.

Anyhow! As for Adam placing second, he won't be stuck with that craptastic faux-hymnal about Magic Mountains and Hurricaines... Plus he looked so damn foxy: ( Let the picspammage commence! )

Well I finally made the friends-cut I spoke of last week (http://velvetgunpowder.livejournal.com/197046.html) but feel free to comment if you aren't listed in that post and want to remain on my friends list. If I cut you don't feel obliged to delete or keep me. I made the cut entirely to keep my list from being clogged rather than to actually "get rid" of anyone.

I think 95% of the mentions of Bill Kaulitz on my f-list have been calling him a moron or just a generalized disdain for him. It got me wondering if there are any of you out there who are fans of Tokio Hotel like myself who just never bothered to state an opinion one way or another. I remember the first time I saw/heard of Tokio Hotel (http://velvetgunpowder.livejournal.com/121174.html) I made a short little mention on LJ but neglected to elaborate later.

Thanks to that_evening I realized where I was so familiar with Nestor Carbonell from! The lame sitcom Suddenly Susan! He was actually a large part of why I watched most of the episodes in repeats. These promo shots from sitcoms are always so dreadfully entertaining.

Nestor Carbonell of course plays the ageless Richard Alpert on LOST. I would liken him to being the Dr. Manhattan figure of the series with a (so far) less significant role to the overall plotline. I have been waiting since his character was introduced for more screentime and we actually got it this past season. I have a feeling things are really going to come together in the next and final season.

*Sigh* I always thought I wouldn't be someone who made one of those "Friends Cut" posts but trying to get through my f-list on a daily basis is becoming quite tiring and I've actually been missing entries I'd be quite interested in reading in lieu of massive twitter posts. What does he like to do other than sing? Why play dress up of course! I love hearing him talk. Did you hear his description of performing "Satisfaction"? Yes. His imitation of his mom's voice is too cute. I can identify with nearly everything he's said other than his love of people in general... but the not having a filter thing? Yeah. We are both Aquarians so I guess it all adds up... and Gossip Girl as a guilty pleasure? Yeah. I watched every episode until the schedule conflicted with Chuck. I guess Ed Westwick (I love him quite a bit) will be in the remake of Donnie Darko. I have been against this sequel since I heard about it but also curious... at least now I know I will have some eye candy.

Speaking of "eye candy"! Let's get back on the topic of Adam Lambert, yes? I have been digging his Citizen Vein stuff lately. I think upon initially listening to all of his pre-idol stuff songs, I was distracted by the overt gheyness (Check the "Adam Lambert tag at slashfact) of his solo stuff and overlooked what are some great glammish rock songs. P.P.S. I saw Adam Lambert and Kris Allen's lovechild working at Walgreen's the other day. He was apparently born as an adult but whatever, don't poke holes in my logic. It was funny, the dude had the same hair coloring and basic build/height of Kris Allen but his hair was styled like Adam and his speaking voice was similar. Heh.

My mom usually works weeknights until 10 or 11 so she hasn't seen any of this season's American Idol. Since she's on a different schedule this week I reminded her to watch the show to confirm how lame Danny Gokey is and how amazing Adam Lambert is. I called her during Gokey and after Kris Allen to confirm that Kris Allen is adorable and should be in the top two with Adam and braced her for the awesomeness of Adam Lambert... after the first song ("One" by U2) she just said "Well they all agreed with you" but you could tell she wasn't blown away. I didn't like his shirt* by the way but he's smart and trying to appeal to middle America methinks. She called me after Adam's second song to say "That kid ROCKS!" and I was like, "I'll call you back, I know! love you." because Adam was still on screen getting his comments. Anyhow after the show my mom was like, "That guy is outstandingly better than the others. It doesn't even seem like a competition." To which I informed her to beware the evangelist vote which has kept Danny Gokey out of the bottom three the entire season. When little clips are shown of each contestant on the commercial for the AI tour, what do you suppose Gokey Dokey is doing? Ahhh, that's right putting his hands in a praying gesture. He made sure to wear a cross last night too. If he stays on and Adam gets booted I might flip out. I need to see Adam in the finale. It needs to happen. I have hoped for either a finale between he and Kris (Kradam, hahaha) or he and Gokey. The prior for pure entertainment/slashing value and the latter to impress upon America Adam's vocal superiority.

So... seriously I must have voted over 200 times. I can't really be sure but I voted for nearly two hours solid until my home phone ran out of batteries. I won't be watching the results show as usual because I may be obsessed with Adam Lambert but NOTHING will keep from watching LOST. Especially tonight. It's the season finale! This show just keeps improving. Not the mention there has finally been enough Richard Alpert the past few weeks. I normally am very distressed at it being the final episode of LOST's season but I am so happy about the scheduling this year. I will be able to watch the results for American Idol next week which damn well better include Adam Lambert. I might be trying to persuade you guys to throw some votes his way next week. Voting is free from land lines...

P.S. Did you all hear what Simon said last night? He basically ordered America to vote for Adam because he has the talent and deserves to stay.

I won't even spoil this clip by giving you the title. If you like "FAST CARS" and "GAY STUFF" this is the film for you! Saturday Night Live was pretty damn hilarious last night. Seth Rogen did an even better job hosting than last time. Two other stand outs of the night were the sketch featuring comic strip characters and the Muppet hit and run. Lord.

Ohhhhhhhhh Boyyyy does KanYe West knows how to wear him a pair of pants! Daaamn, you know he's fine if I'm not thrown by the fact that he's wearing a Canadian tuxedo! For those of you unaware, that's denim head to toe. A huge thanks to symphonic_dame for once again giving me the East Coast heads up! I sure as hell wouldn't have been watching American Idol otherwise! I actually would have skipped it still in lieu of LOST if not for the fact that a repeat was airing.

I also wouldn't be about to post a reeeeediculous picspam of Adam Lambert. I've still not see him perform on American Idol but you know what? I still think he should win. Why, you may ask?

Thank you so much symphonic_dame for giving me the heads up about M.I.A. performing on The Grammys. I generally watch the Grammys but intended on skipping out this year to watch Desperate Housewives. Luckily I was able to watch the show without missing anything and catch "Swagger Like Us" during a commercial break. I fucking adore M.I.A. but you should all know that by now. I am not so fond of T.I. but the fact that KanYe is there cancels that out. Lil Wayne is just comical as always. (yeeeeah!)

I remember the first time I heard this song (It was on someone's phone so I didn't catch KanYe's part until I downloaded the song later) I just thought it was M.I.A. abuse but I must say this performance was epic. Her due date was scheduled to be Grammy night. How cool would it be if her kid is born on my birthday though?

In a recent interview with Electro Queer Patrick Wolf claims that he and his boyfriend were attacked and injured by bouncers for kissing at Madonna's Sticky and Sweet Tour at Wembley Stadium in London.

Well I was gonna ask you what you thought of the show, but if you want to tell me a story, go on then...
Oh yeah...three songs in, me and my man were kissing and there were loads of conservative straight couples around us that complained. And then the bouncers came up to me and said "can you stop that, this is a family venue". ( No joke. )

The first thing I noticed when I saw him in the audience wasn't his camo baseball cap, or the raccoon tail hanging out of his back pocket, but his uhhmazing jacket!
